CVK kibale lodge is located in a real village about 21 km from south of Fort Portal town along the Kamwenge road and lies along the soothing shores of Lake Nyabikere a word that means “place of frogs” overlooking the magnificent Rwenzori Mountains also known as the Mountains of the Moon. The Lodge is managed and run by a family of Dr. David and Pelussi his wife who have provided a very comfortable environment with delicious food to ensure the guests get/ encounter more than their expectations. Hospitality is the lodge’s prior objective. The lodge is popular for its tidy surroundings and sightings of the lake, hills and vegetation terrain that inhabits 12 different species of primates i.e monkeys, chimpanzees, baboons, as well as wildlife like forest elephants and birds like the typical Green Breasted Pitta. The accommodation we offer includes the beautiful grass thatched ecological bandas with 40 beds. Self contained rooms, terraced campsite with 20 tents enclosed by a smooth layer of evergreen grass facing the blue serene Lake. These bandas are placed one by one with adequate space in the open leaved evergreen trees there by providing extraordinary privacy and calmness with mosquito nets supplied.
