After arriving at the airport, you are picked up by an experienced tour guide from our company who drives you to visit various historical Genocide memorial sites, National Museums in Kigali. With lunch en-route, proceed to Gisenyi to spot the beautiful Lake Kivu and the Resort beach. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel, La Palme Hotel, Muhabura Hotel.
After morning breakfast transfer to traverse the border to Goma town in Democratic Republic of Congo then to Virunga National Park to track the Mountain Gorillas. After Gorilla Trekking, break off for Dinner and Overnight at Ihusi Hotel, Lac Kivu Lodge, Mikeeno Lodge.
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Virunga National Park Headquarters at Rumangabo for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas. In groups of 8 with a skilled ranger guide penetrate the forest to track the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours then when you meet them, spend only an hour with them taking numerous photos for memories. After tracking the Gorillas, return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Ihusi Hotel, Lac Kivu Lodge, Mikeeno Lodge.
Wake up in the morning have breakfast then embark on a boat cruise along the magnificent Lake Kivu one of Africa’s largest fresh lakes where you will spot the beautiful Islands, terrain vegetation and the brilliant species of birds. After sometime, you reach Bukavu Town in the evening where you will have Dinner and Overnight at Orchid Safari Lodge, Hotel Horizon.
After breakfast in the morning, transfer straight to Kahuzi Biega National Park to track the Eastern lowland Gorillas which are much bigger in size than the Mountain Gorillas for a period of 2-5 hours. After tracking, take on a guided community walk in the afternoon/ evening around Bukavu town. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel Horizon, Orchid Safari Lodge.
In the morning after breakfast, take on a boat cruise back to Goma then to Kigali for Dinner and Overnight or Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
