6 Days Wildlife & Primates Tour in Uganda
The 6 Days Wildlife & Primates Tour offers you amazing Wildlife, Chimpanzee and Gorilla Trekking tours in Uganda at Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Forest National park.
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Pick up from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe at around 9:00 am then drive to kibale forest national park via the kampala-Mubende-Fortportal route. The journey will take about 6 hours to reach the park along the way we shall have a lunch en-route in mubende. Check in at primate lodge, have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation in Kibale Forest National Park
Have breakfast at the lodge then at 7:00 am, set out into the forest to track the chimps and follow then throughout the day. With habituation, you will see the chimps from the time they leave their nests to how they spend their day until when they build new nests and end their day. You will have to carry some packed lunch with you. After the activity, you will return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Experience Tree Climbing Lions Ishasha
Have breakfast at the lodge, Check out and drive to Ishasha which is about 3 hours. Check-in at ishasha safari camp and have lunch. At 2 pm, go for a game drive to look for the tree climbing lions. Return to the camp, have lunch and spend the night.
Day 4: Game drive in Ishasha Sector
Start the day with an early breakfast at 6:00 am. Then go for a morning game drive to the Ishasha sector of queen Elizabeth national park where you will expect to see other various animals like kobs, gazelles, elephants, buffaloes, lions.
This will go for about 4 hours then get back to the camp, refresh, have lunch and checkout of the camp. The drive to bwindi, check in at buhoma community camp, have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest
Have breakfast at the camp then drive to the park headquarters to get a park guide. At 7am you will start the trek to look for the mountain gorillas. It might take you 4 hours to find them or more and you are given 1 hour to spend with the gorillas. After the trek, return to the camp for lunch and relax. You may choose to go for a community walk to the batwa community later on like at around 4:00 pm. Have dinner and spend the night.
Day 6: Transfer to Kampala
Have breakfast at the camp and check out. Drive back to Kampala via the kisoro-mbarara-masaka-kampala route with stopover for lunch in Mbarara.
