On Arrival at Kigali International airport you will be picked up by our experienced company representative/ guide who will transfer you for a city tour and here you will visit very many destinations that will make you touched for example the local markets, craft shops, Gisozi Genocide Memorial, Nyamata Genocide museum etc then later on you will go straight to Ruhengeri Kinigi at Volcanoes National park to spot the endangered species of Mountain Gorillas as well as the rare Golden Monkeys. Dinner and Overnight at Virunga Lodge, le bamboo gorilla lodge, Kinigi guest house.
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast then embark on a journey to the park offices for orientation on the dos, don’ts and how to interact around the Gorillas. After this, you will go directly into the forest to track these primates within their thick habitat. You must be in groups of 8 and you will have only an hour to interact with them while taking photos with a camera that has no flash.
The tracking process is quite hectic as according to the relocation of the Gorillas for some times it might take 1-8 hrs. You will go back to your lodge/ hotel for resting after trekking that is unique and African for you will be welcomed with performances in Kinyarwanda, dance and songs. After breakfast you will go straight into the same forest to track another group of Gorillas within the thick forest and after finding them, you will be allowed only an hour to interact with them and here you will learn their differences in terms of attributes, way of life, leadership etc. After tracking you will go back to the offices so as to attain your tracking certificate and at dusk you will transfer to spot and encounter the beautiful lakes of Rubondo and Bulera where you will have extraordinary sightings as well as birds of the air. After your warm breakfast in the morning, you will head into the same forest in search of the rare species of Golden monkeys an experience that will leave you wanting more. You will spot them enjoying their habitat for they will be jumping from one tree to another making some noise lively. After this, you will be driven back to the airport for your flight back home.
