Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport you are picked up by a company driver guide who transfers you to the Goma Town situated in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Overnight at Ihusi Hotel Congo.
Wake up early in the morning, take breakfast then leave Goma town to the Bukima sector in Virunga National Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a ranger guide penetrate the forests to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them only an hour taking numerous photos to keep for memories. After trekking, you will proceed back to the town of Goma for dinner and Overnight.
You wake up early in the morning have breakfast then later embark on a transfer to Rwanda to hike to the prominent Dian Fossey tomb where you will learn more about the work of the primate activist Dian fossey who dedicated her entire life to conserving the endangered species of Mountain Gorillas. You will also get to know a lot about the existence of the Karisoke research center as well as trekking the rare species of golden monkey.
Afterwards, break off for lunch then travel to Gisenyi Lake Kivu where you will have beautiful views of the lake, birds, green vegetation and terrain. After Lake Kivu proceed to visit the Murambi Genocide Memorial Site and the King’s palace. Overnight and dinner at Palm gardens resort -Deluxe, Lake Kivu Serena hotel-Luxury, Paradise malahide-Budget.
Wake up early in the morning have breakfast then transfer to the Kibati patrol post the starting point for all hikers of Mountain Nyiragongo Volcano. In groups with an experienced ranger guide hike the Mountain Volcano enjoying views of the thick forest vegetation, birds, summit at a distance. The Hike takes a period of 4-6 hours depending on the physical fitness of the group and when you reach the summit take numerous photos to keep for memories then later transfer to the summit shelters to spend an Overnight.
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, descend the Mountain Volcano and on reaching the Kibati Patrol post embark on your departure to Gisenyi Rwanda then to Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
